These Terms of Service govern your use of uptimestats.org and the UptimeStats monitoring service. By creating an account or using our free tools you agree to these terms.

The service

UptimeStats checks publicly reachable websites that you register, records the results and can notify you by email when a problem is confirmed. The Free plan is provided at no cost with the limits described on our pricing page. Plans marked "Coming soon" are not available and cannot be purchased.

Your account

• You must provide a valid email address that you control and keep your password confidential.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• You may delete your account at any time from your account settings.

Acceptable use

You may only monitor websites that you own or are authorised to monitor. You must not:

• use the service or free tools to attack, overload or probe systems, or to evade the limits we set;
• attempt to use our checker to reach private, internal or otherwise restricted networks;
• create accounts automatically or in bulk, or register other people without their consent;
• interfere with the security or operation of the service.

We may suspend accounts or block requests that violate these rules.

No guarantee

Monitoring runs from our infrastructure and depends on networks we do not control. We work hard to provide accurate results and timely alerts, but the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that every outage will be detected or that every alert will be delivered. UptimeStats should not be your only safeguard for critical systems.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, UptimeStats is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Free plan is limited to zero US dollars, or the minimum amount allowed by applicable law.

Changes to the service

We may change, add or remove features, and we may change these terms. If a change materially affects you we will notify you by email or on the website. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
